The UK Open is an ECS Qualifying and Stern Pro Circuit Event.
The event occurs at the Hilton London Croydon Hotel from September 29th until October 1st.
Unfortunately, the Hilton will not give us any special deals on rooms, but we have agreed a special rate with the Aerodrome, which is 5 minutes away.
However, many special offers are available for the Aerodrome that may be better than our deal, and you should check their website. Details are on our website, along with other hotels in the area.
We are pleased to announce that Backhand Pinball will be streaming the event, and it's great to have Marc as part of our team.
We are using Ticket Tailor and Stripe for payments. This is a new platform for us, but the booking price is substantially lower than Eventbrite - meaning more money goes into the prize fund. SPC and IFPA Fees with the trophy costs are the only expenses that are taken from the money you spend with us. Assuming the event sells out, the prize fund will start at approx £30,000 and will build as we sell cards throughout the weekend. The prize fund is split proportionally to each tournament via the number of cards, and full details can be found on the UK Open website. payment will be electronic and within 10 business days of you notifying us of your bank details. Cards are £5 each or 10 for £40.
First prize main is guaranteed at least £5000, and first prize ladies is guaranteed at least £1500
Our capacity is 175 players.
We have three Entry tickets:
•The Super Hero Volunteer's package. There are 50 tickets at £100 each and includes 5 cards, ltd Edition t-shirt and lanyard and entry throughout the tournament. This ticket requires you to do a 2 hour scorekeeping slot and you will also get access to our 2 hour Saturday morning early volunteer only qualifying segment. (if you don't do the volunteering we vacate your tournament scores!)
•The Hero package. There are 124 tickets at £150 each and includes 5 cards, ltd edition t-shirt and lanyard, and entry through the tournament. Last year's UK Open champion, Peter Anderson, is given free entry.
•The Mini Hero Package. This is for under 18's and is £40 and includes 5 cards, a ltd edition t-shirt and a lanyard. Under-14s can take part in the junior tournament free of charge.
Tickets go on sale on 1st July at 17:00 UK Time, 12:00 Eastern Time and 18:00 EU Time.
You can buy 4 tickets at a time, and you will need your credit card details, IFPA numbers and the names of those you are registering for. We only accept refunds until August 31st.
